Tilley Insurance Agency started in 1968 when Jerome Tilley started selling insurance for Allstate at a booth in Sears at South Ridge Mall.  He worked for Allstate for 32 years and in 2000 he broke away from Allstate and joined the independent side.  He joined forces with another Allstate agent and began selling insurance for a number of carriers.  His son Joe Tilley at the time was a schoolteacher by day and at night he would come into the office and quote out new clients.  In 2004 Joe resigned from teaching and came into the office full time. In 2009 The Tilley's broke away and formed their own agency Tilley Insurance.  For the past 25 years Joe Sr and Joe Jr worked together building the Tilley Insurance Agency name.  In November 2024 Joe Sr retired from the agency after 56 years in the insurance business.  In 2021 Joe's second son Joey came into the office and started his insurance journey. In 2025 Joe's third son Tom started working within the agency.  With the additions of Joey and Tom the business will be continuing into the future for a very long time.
